About This Product
This white PEX-a pipe with red print is designed for residential and commercial domestic hot water (DHW) and DHW recirculation systems. It resists corrosion, pitting, and scale buildup, offers a chlorine resistance rating of 5, and provides up to one month of UV resistance. The PEX-a manufacturing process delivers outstanding flexibility, strength, and durability, allowing a bend radius of 6X the pipe diameter to help reduce unnecessary connections at directional changes.
The pipe’s elasticity allows it to expand up to 3X its diameter and then return to its original size, providing excellent resiliency during freeze/thaw conditions. While no piping system is completely freeze-proof, PEX-a offers greater resilience compared to rigid piping systems. This pipe is intended for use with expansion-style fittings that require an expansion tool and expansion rings (sold separately). This product is not approved for use in residential fire sprinkler systems.
